Hillcrest Boulevard

As part of a larger condominium conversion project, Revival Construction contributed by renovating/restoring the facade of this 1905 Queen Anne, now called Fifty-Wiggins.

We began by removing the front porch and recycling the aluminum siding that had been added sometime in the last 30 years. Underneath we discovered original diamond sidewall shingles and period details above the bays and between the windows. Although some decorative brackets and trim were broken or missing, Architect and Developer Kirsten Thoft created full scale drawings and we reproduced them in our workshop.

We then rebuilt the front porch with a portico whose gable matched those above the two-story bay windows. The decorative, wooden front doors are original, although air sealed and updated with weather-stripping and reproduction hardware.
